Simply keep the stove temperature within the optimal range (200 – 350 Celsius) to ensure an efficient burn.
Running a stove too cold (below 200 Celsius) indicates a smoky fire that can lead to excessive amounts of creosote in your chimney.
Running a stove too hot (above 350 Celsius) wastes fuel, and can damage your woodstove.
Please note: This thermometer is calibrated for use on a hot part of your woodstove, not on the stovepipe.
