Dean Forge – Cool Wall

Date: 4 April 2025

Wood-burning stoves have become increasingly efficient over the years, particularly in recent years, when the focus is more on harvesting the maximum energy from the fuel and distributing as much heat into the room as possible. While also being as clean burner as possible.

When it comes to installing a wood or multi-fuel stove, it will often be located near flammable products. Making the stove unsafe and even illegal to install. This is why each stove has its own distance to combustibles and even non-combustibles rules which need to be followed. These measurements are worked about by intensive tests.

Dean Forge has developed a product that reduces these fire risks consistently: DF Cool Wall. Under tests, the DF Cool Wall has recorded temperatures of more than 600°C behind the stove with a rise in room temperature behind the DF Cool Wall of only 4°C.

This means a stove could be installed in a wooden hut or boat safely and even a yurt. Opening the log burning world installation locations completely.

The DF Cool Wall comes in three different sizes and high-temperature black.

Please note: A Dean Forge Stove can be installed 50mm away from DF Cool Wall with a combustible wall behind.
